A life dedicated to country is preserved in immortal legacy

The late Maj-Gen (Rtd) Joseph Kasaine Ole Nkaissery’s memory as a great leader and patriot will forever remain etched in our nation’s history. As a nationalist who spent his entire life in dedicated service to our people, his legacy will inspire generations to emulate his passion, uncompromising discipline and noble duty to country.

His professional profile exhibits the outstanding qualities of a person who had a deep sense of purpose, commitment to national ideals and steady love for country. He placed Kenya’s interests above self and delivered unity and empowerment to his Constituency as Member of Parliament for Kajiado Central, taking an active role in community projects. This continued even after his appointment as Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Coordination of National Government in December 2014.

His style of leadership was marked by seamless coordination with the relevant Ministries, Departments and Agencies to safeguard a securer Kenya. His service to our country has contributed to improved and more capable institutions of national security. This has reinforced Kenyans’ responsiveness and awareness to our role in harnessing national security.

“The pain of your sudden demise is reminiscent in the emotion-filled messages of hope and comfort from Kenyans, our development partners, allies and friends. Your positive impact on our society will be cherished for many years to come. Fare thee well CS Nkaissery. We will miss you dearly.”

Amb (Dr.) Amina Mohamed, EGH, CAV, Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs.
